Online Poker – Is it really a good place to learn?
It is something really difficult to determine. For me personally I believe that it is a damn good place to learn the game.
The reason why I affirm that it is indeed a good place to study the game is because you are definitely being dealt more hands per minute than in a live ring or cash game. Experience comes out of the number of hands that you play and the multiple situations that you get into, well, you would have been playing less hands if one hour at a casino than online. In addition multi tabling online allows you to get playing additional hands. The whole number of hands that are dealt to you is what will bring to you more experience and hence will permit you how to act in different situations that show up to you. This will bring in you more skills for adjusting your game to different types of players. Many live poker players argue on the point that physical tells is not present online. This is a great disadvantage that has completely ruined and changed the poker game. I wouldn’t totally agree to this. There are tells that exist online which consists of timing and betting patterns. While grounding myself on the online poker rooms I would say that the whole of the poker game is not a game of information but rather a game of sense and reality. You will be more profitable in terms of time while learning the game online. The fact that there’s no physical contact makes the game more difficult perhaps but if you take it into account better, the game becomes more interesting. The main concern will be the cards. This how I will be concluding that online poker players are better players than live poker players. Online poker rooms is more beneficial through many means, one of which will be rare in live games is the large variety of limits. There exists many disadvantages on live poker tables like the fact of paying rakes and tips which is not seen at online poker tables. Nevertheless, I am at no cost pointing out that live poker players are bad players, just that the best poker players are those who play online.
